Celebrations & Treats: Why not turn your time on the water into a celebration, we have catered for many birthdays & anniversaries. We can add a variety of food and drink options tailored to your own specific requirements and dietary needs. These can include full tapas spreads, dinner on board or even birthday cake & Cava. An option also exists for day sailors to spend the night on board after dinner and not have to worry about finding your way home. Let us know if you would like us to lay on some cheesy banners etc. to really embarrass the lucky person, we will be happy to oblige!

Spanish Sailing is able to offer a selection of  skippered yacht charters & sail training packages on the beautiful

Spanish Costa Dorada coast between the River Ebro Delta, Barcelona onto  Costa Brava. Sailing from Tarragona,

we are probably the closest destination  guaranteeing a Mediterranean climate & perfect sailing conditions to

many people based in Northern Europe. We are only 15 minutes from Reus which is one of Ryanair’s ‘Barcelona’

airports. The city of Tarragona is also in easy reach by car or train with a main line station close to the base

marina. With all our sailing packages, numbers are kept low & the program designed around your needs &

aspirations. What we offer is a bespoke comfortable holiday and/or sail training program at a price significantly

lower than anyone else on the Med. Training programs are flexible. You can partake in a dedicated course with

internationally recognised qualifications or just add accreditations to knowledge gained on your holiday.

Learn to Sail: We offer a range of courses from absolute beginner’s modules to

internationally recognised professional qualifications. The program is modular which allows

us to take account of previous experience/training and fast track where appropriate. If you

do not want to spend your time on board on a full time training course then why not just

partake in an introduction to sailing and tick off some training modules. Your achievements

will be recorded in a logbook which you will keep allowing you to continue with the program

at a later date at any IYT institution around the world.    More about learning to sail….

Holidays on Board: Take the opportunity of a holiday on a yacht on the

Mediterranean. Whether you are a couple or a family, you will have the boat to yourselves

as you will not be asked to share with anyone else. This means that how long you

spend at sea, where you go and how long you stay there is yours to decide. Fully catered

options are available at a very reasonable price. How much you get involved in the

sailing of the boat is also up to you. Sit back and enjoy the ride and the Med or actively

get involved in the sailing of the boat. No previous experience is required & you could

even leave with a qualification as a result of your stay on board.

RYA Shorebased courses: We also run most of the RYA shorebased courses at our land based school. Set in beautiful Catalan countryside and surrounded by olive farms and mountains, our fully equipped school specialises in low number classes allowing us to provide near one to one coaching. We can provide fully catered accommodation or when available why not take advantage of our self catering cottage (more about the cottage). Cambrils is just one of the port options that Spanish Sailing visit whilst cruising the Catalonia coast. This can be

during one of our skippered yacht charter holidays or it can be included in a learn to sail training course. We are an internationally approved sailing school working in conjunction with International Yacht Training (www.iytworld.com).

We also offer day yacht charters sailing out of Tarragona which can include a choice of birthday/anniversary

celebration food & drink options (menus…). We have run yacht charters for many hen parties & even performed a

marriage ceremony on board!!      

Cambrils is the 1st port sailing south from Tarragona along the Costa Dorada coast & having rounded the  Cap de Salou. It now includes a modern marina but it still retains it’s traditional trading and fishing port which has operated since the the 13th century. There is still a thriving fishing industry here and the daily auctions can still be visited at the end of the day. Wander the narrow streets and the church of Santa Maria or visit the famous harbour side restaurants famous for their excellent fish & sea-food specialities.

The Costa Dorada (Costa Daurada) coast offers a great variety of cruising opportunities. Sailing destinations can include the beautiful Ebro Delta or even the amazing city of Barcelona itself. The Catalan coast provides a great mixture of sailing destinations from sophisticated resorts to working fishing ports & in between a wide selection of secluded anchorages for lunch!
