This RYA course equips you navigate safely on coastal and offshore passages. It allows some time for revision of the basics and then moves on to advanced navigation techniques.

This course will take your theory knowledge to the standard required for RYA Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster practical exams, concentrating on advanced navigation and meteorology skills.

The RYA’s specially designed chart plotter software will be used during the course to give a realistic taste of modern electronic navigation.

This course is intensive and to make best use of the time in the classroom, some work will be started before the visit to the centre by correspondence. This allows more face-to-face attention to those aspects of the syllabus found to be the more difficult.
